John J. Ryan

- CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES -

- FAVORITE PART OF BEING A CAPTAIN -

As a lifelong passenger boat captain I have lived and worked in many different places,

and met and worked with people with diverse backgrounds from different geographical areas.

I have operated boats in all weather conditions, and had the opportunity

to observe nature and wildlife up close and personal from my ‘floating office’.

- FAVORITE PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN TO WHILE BEING A CAPTAIN -

As most of my experience has been in near coastal waters, I’ve had the opportunity to navigate

many rivers, bays, sounds and bayous of the Eastern Seaboard and Gulf of Mexico. From ferry operations in the Gulf

of Maine, Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay, and Nantucket Sound, to fishing the Gulf Stream

off Stuart Florida, traveling the Intracoastal Waterways, and living abroad, I’ve managed see many cool places.
